Barnabas Road Announces Promotion for Broadcast Radio Stations that Simulcast on the Internet
Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) February 8, 2008 -- Barnabas Road Media (BRM) announced today the offer to stream any broadcast radio station free for 3 months if the station will sign up with BRM before March 1, 2008.
"Broadcast radio has been deeply shocked with the realty of the March 2007 Copyright Royalty Board decision regarding performance royalty rates and the new "per performance" reporting requirements for all Commercial and larger Non-Commercial radio stations streaming on the Internet," stated Paul Gathard, President and CEO of BRM.
Barnabas Road, in response to the CRB proclamations, developed its own "per performance" software called PPRS, short for Per Performance Reporting System. It is not a catchy title, but it does describe the functionality of the new system. PPRS delivers ready-to-submit electronic reports as required by SoundExchange.
Gathard went on to say, "Commercial radio stations told us PPRS was very important, but equally important was ad-injection and ad-replacement technology capable of delivering audio/video pre-roll, in stream spots, video ads and banner advertising. So, we went to the market and made arrangements with the premier ad-serving technology companies for the benefit of BRM affiliated radio stations. Then, BRM made provisions for online advertising resources to use our stations as advertising publishers. This combination generates revenue for radio station simulcasts no matter the size of the station's market."
BRM's offer to stream broadcast radio stations free for 3 months is intended to give all types and sizes of broadcast radio stations the opportunity to experience BRM's PPRS software and advertising technology systems without cost or obligation.
BRM's normal monthly stream hosting fees are some of the lowest in the industry and this is even more true when radio stations consider BRM places no limits on simultaneous listeners or charges excess monthly bandwidth fees. Barnabas Road's "Unlimited" service is simply that? unlimited.
About BRM Barnabas Road has been streaming broadcast radio stations since 2004. BRM hosts hundreds of station simulcasts and millions of listeners tune in to BRM affiliated radio stations each month. BRM stations are located in the US, Canada and Europe and their listeners are located in over 235 countries around the world.
On February 1, 2008, BRM moved its Media Broadcast Center from Dallas to Houston, TX. This move and reconfiguration facilitated increased streaming speed, bandwidth capacity and media storage capabilities, while gaining scalability for rapid growth as Internet Radio continues to grow in popularity.
